
All Stafford County schools and offices will close at the end of business on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, and remain closed through Sunday, January 3, 2010. Public services will not be available during this time. Scheduled activities (such as athletic events or building use authorized for outside organizations) will continue as previously scheduled.
Students and staff will report back to school on Monday, January 4, 2010. New residents wishing to enroll a student should contact the registrar at the appropriate school for an appointment on January 4, 2010. The attendance zone listing for the schools and registration requirements may be found using the links below.
Winter Break for students begins with an early release on December 22, 2009, and students report back to school on Monday, January 4, 2010.

2nd Vaccines for students ages 9 and under are not being released at this time. Further questions about this topic should be directed to the Health Department.

If you are planning to apply to the Commonwealth Governor's School program in 2010 there will be a visit to the CGS site at Colonial Forge High School on December 7th from 12:15-2:15. This will allow students to see how the program operates, ask questions, and visit with CGS students and teachers.Students will need a signed permission slip to attend this visit. Please see Ms. Strange-Allen for the permission slips.

There will be concurrent Commonwealth Governor's School informational night meetings on Thursday, January 14, 2010, from 6:30-8pm at both North Stafford HS and Stafford HS sites. If you are interested in finding our more about the Stafford County CGS program this is a meeting that you will want to attend. The interested RTMS 8th graders will also be making a site visit to one of the CGS schools during the day in order to meet and speak with CGS students and teachers. That date will be held in December and will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
